With an environmental awareness at our core we are always keen to be involved in projects that harness marine renewables. In Shetland we designed, manufactured and tested a tidal turbine for Seapower International from Sweden.
Public bodies also come to us, and we have completed a series of contracts for Scottish Water relating to water treatment systems.
We are one of the foremost engineering firms when it comes to working with steel. We carried out a large contract for Colas Rail at Waverley Station, upgrading overhead power lines and support steelwork.
We have been involved in many harbour projects for pontoon manufacture and installation, including pontoons for cruise liner tenders and visiting yachts at Lerwick Harbour.
With a patent application in place for 2 systems we developed, we are industry leaders in the ability to tackle accelerated low water corrosion (ALWC) and repair underwater steel structures.
