Our experienced team of divers are all HSE approved and those with welding skills are coded to AWS standard. They are comfortable operating in low to zero visibility.
All of our divers are time-served tradesmen before undergoing diving training.
An ability to carry our repairs in busy shipping channels and on berths concurrently used by vessels is key. Our team have worked in busy areas alongside:
- car transporters
- anchor handling and harbour tugs
- roll on-roll off (Ro-Ro) ferries
- large container ships.
Innovation
Years of experience building up knowledge of traditional methods of underwater work have enabled our team to win contracts through innovation.
A prime example is the work completed on the harbour walls in Felixstowe Harbour. Due to budget limitations for the client we provided a solution so that we reduced the diving time necessary to complete the task.
We fabricated large frames with 18 anodes welded to them above the water. This meant we only had to have four brackets welded underwater. This simple but effective method reduced the time spent underwater.
This enabled the client to spend money on other areas of the project and get the berth back into service much quicker.
