60,000 Accident Free Man Hours

The company has been supplying trades resources for commissioning and completion of the Shetland Gas Plant since June 2015. With steel workers, mechanical engineering, pipefitting, welding and rigging teams; management of health and safety has been a key element of provision. All staff are fully trained in areas such as manual handling and working in confined spaces. In addition every new employee undergoes a comprehensive induction and site briefing at Ocean Kinetics premises prior to receiving a further site induction before undertaking any duties on the project. PPE is issued to a high standard and a strong health and safety culture is made top priority to ensure the personal safety of the workforce, other partners on site and for the project infrastructure. 60,000 hours accident free is a key milestone and the company looks forward to continued safe working as the Gas Plant comes through to final completion.
