DIVING

Ocean Kinetics provide a comprehensive range of diving and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) services both locally and internationally.

Our dive teams, based in Lerwick and Aberdeen, can mobilise quickly and provide a complete diving service from surveys (including NDT) and inspections, underwater welding, construction, demolition and salvage. Our expertise in pier construction and corrosion prevention has taken us worldwide.

All Ocean Kinetics divers are trained to the highest standard and are also fully qualified tradesmen.

We specialise in corrosion prevention and offer innovative cathodic protection methods to the civil engineering and maritime industries.

Our specialist ROV service is tailored to your needs. In Shetland, we are the only marine company to offer a commercial ROV service.

We have recently launched our new survey, ROV and diving inspection vessel, the Rubymay. The 40ft vessel is fitted with two ROV’s; a new 10-kilowatt, 240-volt generator; crane Hiab 013T; capstan and a dive platform.

Using our cutting-edge technology, including an inspection class ROV, we can offer clients inspections and surveys to a depth of 300m.

Ocean Kinetics is fully ISO 14001 (environmental impact), ISO 45001 (safety management) – ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, SAFE CONTRACTOR accredited.

“The safe arrival and placement of the final caisson is a huge achievement for all those involved in the project, and my particular thanks go to those within the AHEP team, and at Cromarty Firth, Ocean Kinetics, Caledonian Towage and Pirie & Smith.”
