Machining & Manufacture
Ocean Kinetics have invested heavily in machines, equipment & training to complement our fabrication capabilities and allow us to provide a comprehensive in house manufacturing facility.
Precision Plasma Cutter Machine
Our CNC HD plasma cutter can be used to cut complex profiles or simple plate work. By linking to our 2D & 3D cad systems, we can optimise material usage and calculate shapes based on their finished dimensions. This increases the versatility of the machine, reduces waste and ensures that components will meet specifications, fits & tolerances. The machine offers precision multi-axis cutting of aluminium, stainless steel and carbon steel up to 40mm thick. Lower resolution cutting can also be undertaken on steel up to 80mm.
Turning & Milling Machines
Our machine shop includes the latest CNC Turning & Milling equipment; this enables us to incorporate complex components, mechanisms & keyways into our fabrications. We can also provide bespoke machined items, in large or small volumes. Our equipment is fully integrated with our design office and can utilise software such as Solidworks to visualise parts and design complex or compound shapes.
Sheet Metal Machining
Ocean Kinetics employ a CNC Press Brake & Guillotine to cut and fold sheet metals. From return angles to closed boxes, we can undertake a myriad of jobs. The equipment has capacity to handle sheet metals up to 3m long and 20mm thick, but can also undertake small elements, less than 1mm thick and 100mm square. These machines offer increased manufacturing precision and efficiency over traditional manual metal forming.
Fully Equipped Manufacturing Workshop
Our workshops are fully equipped with a range of saws, presses, punches (portable & fixed), rollers, metal working machines and radial arm drills.
We also offer a range of onsite machining services, including flange re-facing, pipe cutting & prepping, boring & drilling.
