New Fendering System for Certas Fuel in Lerwick

Ocean Kinetics was recently contracted to replace the fendering system at the North Ness Fuel berth in Lerwick, in conjunction with Arch Henderson, who were to complete detailed design and structural calculations for the new fender system.

The steelwork and fender panels were fabricated in our Lerwick workshops, whilst the high-performance rubber elements and ultra high-density wear plates were internationally sourced.

Works are continuing on-site using our spud leg construction and salvage barge P4, working in between shipping movements to avoid any disruption to fuel deliveries.
