OCEAN KINETICS ACHIEVES PE(S)R CERTIFICATION – EXPANDING PRESSURE EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES
Ocean Kinetics has achieved certification under the UK’s Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations (PE(S)R), underpinning the company’s technical capability and high standards of safety.
PE(S)R is a key piece of UK legislation governing the conformity of pressure equipment placed on the UK market. Certification confirms that a company has rigorous systems and controls in place across quality assurance, welding procedures, material sourcing, and staff competence, as well as the specialist equipment required to deliver this work safely and compliantly.
The PE(S)R certification means that certain types of pressure equipment – including pipework and vessels operating at higher pressures, elevated temperatures, or containing more hazardous fluids – are all within Ocean Kinetics scope of work.
With PE(S)R certification now in place, Ocean Kinetics can fabricate pressure equipment up to Category II, significantly expanding the range of projects it can deliver in-house. In addition, the company has secured the relevant certification to place equivalent Category II pressure equipment on the EU market, opening up new commercial opportunities beyond the UK.
“This certification is a major step forward for us,” said contracts manager, Lewis Grant. “It reflects the strength of our internal systems, the skill of our team, and our ongoing investment in quality and compliance. Most importantly, it allows us to offer a broader, more integrated service to our clients.”
The achievement reinforces Ocean Kinetics’ commitment to high standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence, while positioning the business for continued growth in more complex and demanding pressure equipment applications.
