OCEAN KINETICS HIGHLIGHTS OFFSHORE EXPERTISE AT FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND 2025

Scottish engineering and marine-services specialist Ocean Kinetics will showcase its growing role in the UK’s floating offshore wind supply chain at Floating Offshore Wind 2025 in Aberdeen this week (12 – 13 November), part of Renewable UK’s flagship renewables event series.

With operations spanning Lerwick, Orkney and Aberdeen, Ocean Kinetics is ideally placed to deliver complex offshore projects in some of Europe’s harshest marine environments. At the event, the company will spotlight its integrated capabilities across fabrication, subsea engineering, diving, ROV operations and marine vessel support — all vital to the next generation of floating wind farms. 

Ocean Kinetics offers support to developers and contractors at every stage of floating wind delivery — from early surveys and mooring installation to inspection, installation and maintenance works.

Key services include:

• Mooring deployment and inspection using in-house ROV and dive teams
• Survey and support vessels including the Ruby May and Dolphin
• Survey and construction vessels including Multicat’s and cargo barges
• Fabrication and subsea infrastructure for floating platforms and monitoring systems
• Marine environmental operations, including Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) mooring work.

Recent activity for the Arven Offshore Wind Farm development demonstrates these strengths, with Ocean Kinetics delivering PAM mooring deployment, ROV and diving inspection, and survey-vessel support to gather data on marine mammal activity. The project exemplifies the company’s ability to combine local expertise, safety focus and efficient delivery in, what can be, challenging conditions.
