Local Opportunities Event 2020

February 24, 2020
The Anderson High School held their Local Opportunities Event in the Clickimin Centre Games Hall on Tuesday 18 February 2020.

The purpose was to bring together a number of local businesses, organisations, education and training institutions that offer courses, training, employment and voluntary opportunities to young people. The event gave pupils, parents and carers as much information as possible about local opportunities for destinations beyond school.

Pupils and parents from Brae High School, S4 pupils and parents from Junior High Schools in Shetland, along with Anderson High School S4, S5 and S6 pupils and parents attended.

This event was a huge success and well ran and we were proud to be a part of it and help as we joined together with the AHS to support young people into positive and sustained destinations.
